Mission

The aforecited vision is rooted in Bicol University’s mandate as provided in RA 5521 which is to “to give professional and technical training and provide advanced and specialized instruction in literature, philosophy, the sciences and arts, besides providing for the promotion of scientific and technological researches, (Sec. 3).”

The four pillars on which the university stands:  leadership, scholarship, character, and service.  These are core values that will make you not just successful but upstanding citizens of our society.

This year’s commencement theme, “Attaining the Filipino Dream through Innovation and Good Governance” is not at all new to us.  It is but part of how we live as a community:  A community of scholars committed to excellence, innovation, and good governance.  Soaring to our four or five years’ stay in Bicol University, we must do our best to instill these principles, knowing that these are key ingredients in nation-building and the overall development of our country.
